Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old ancestry. Built on the old Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the far east with the wild west in a fantastic game for starting players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the gambler vs. the casino, unlike the majority of other poker games that gamblers compete with other players. By playing against the dealer, new players don’t need to be concerned about any other, more skillful players winning their moolla.

A further Pai Gow advantage is the generally slow game play, beginners are able to take their time and plan while not having to make frenzied decisions.

It is also easier to wager on for an extended time with just a tiny amount of money after all, to lose, each of your hands has to be under each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card common deck and a single joker. The gambler is assigned 7 cards face up and the casino gets 7 cards face down.

One 5 card hand and one 2 card hand have to be put together from the seven cards, the 5 card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be larger than the dealer’s.
