Pai Gow Poker is a cutting-edge game with ancient origins. Founded on the ancient Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the eastern with the west in a great game for beginner level gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler vs. the croupier, unlike almost all other poker games that players wager against other players. By gambling against the dealer, starting players don’t need to be concerned about other, more experienced players taking their cash.

Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card basic deck and one joker. The player is dealt 7 cards face up and the croupier is given 7 cards faces hidden.

One 5 card hand and one 2 card hand must be put together from the seven cards, the five card hand must be better than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand totals to be higher than the dealer’s.
