Online poker has become globally acclaimed as of late, with televised championships and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, stretches back quite a bit further than its television scores. Over the years several types on the original poker game have been created, including a handful of games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to chemin de fer than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers bet against the dealer instead of each other. The succeeding hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no concealment or different kinds of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to ante up prior to the croupier broadcasting "No more bets." At that point, both you and the house and of course every one of the different gamblers are given 5 cards. After you have looked at your hand and the casino’s 1st card, you must either make a call bet or bow out. The call wager’s amount is akin to your original wager, meaning that the risks will have doubled. Giving Up means that your ante goes immediately to the house. After the wager is the showdown. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is returned, including an amount equal to the initial bet. If the casino does have ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The casino pays out chips equal to your ante and controlled expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

• Equal for a pair or high card
• 2-1 for 2 pairs
• 3-1 for three of a kind
• four to one for a straight
• 5-1 for a flush
• 7-1 for a full house
• twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
• fifty to one for a straight flush
• one hundred to one for a royal flush
